About The Position

One of the region’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma. The Radiology Technologist Lead directs daily workflow and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager, and/or Imaging Services Director.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
One (1) year of experience in Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

Directs daily workflow and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager, and/or Imaging Services Director.
Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
Embraces and participates in quality initiatives, goal attainment, and clinical outcome process improvement activities.
Supports and demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients and family members.
Works collaboratively with the administrative and operations staff.
Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
Demonstrates competency in specific tasks and skills as defined by the practice.
Provides routine treatments and administers approved medication types.
Documents patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department-specific policies.
Assists the physician or APP by acting as a liaison on behalf of the patient to schedule and provides scheduling information for specialty testing and/or specialty physician consultation.
Processes incoming and outgoing calls independently and professionally using sound clinical judgment.
