Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, NJ RT license.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Radiologic Tech.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • ACLS required (ACLS within 6 months of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Scrubbing in on all Cardiac, neurology, and vascular cases with the ability to monitor hemodynamics.
  • Assist by scrubbing in procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.
  • Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
  • Monitor and keep inventory of par level of all instruments and supplies.
  • Assist in training any new hires.
  • Utilizes time productively and appropriately with respect to patient flow, room use, stocking of supplies, and clerical duties to increase department efficiency.
  • Functions to work independently and in a cooperative manner in a teamwork-oriented atmosphere within the department and hospital-wide.
  • Provides assistance to the physicians or other Rad Tech's and RN’s in the performance of more complex procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and communicate any equipment issues.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned.
