This position assists the physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias. The role involves functioning as a scrub assistant, monitor, and circulator, and operating various equipment utilized in the cath lab. The Lead Radiology Tech serves as a technical resource to other technicians, providing leadership and guidance in daily tasks. Responsibilities include preparing staff work schedules, coordinating employee time off, planning and coordinating orientation, admitting and orienting patients, accurately entering patient information, explaining procedures, maintaining a sterile field, monitoring patient vital signs and procedural documentation, operating various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, and observing all occupational and radiation safety regulations. The role also requires demonstrating a responsible attitude toward continued professional growth, maintaining certifications/licensures, completing mandatory education, and staying abreast of technological changes.
