About The Position

The Lead Radiologic Technologist, Nights, is responsible for assisting the manager with operational oversight, improvement of clinical operations, and staff supervision. This role involves training, mentoring, and evaluating clinical staff, overseeing the coordination of clinical activities for students, managing patient care and flow, performing telephone triage, handling medical information, and providing clinical support to the radiologist. The Lead Technologist also performs the duties of a clinical staff member, serving as a role model and resource for the department. This position acts as a liaison between clinical staff, managers, and radiologists. The role requires the technologist to demonstrate a positive customer service focus, deliver exemplary personal patient contact, and execute radiology clinical duties. Additionally, they are responsible for recording digital images for radiologist interpretation and providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.

Requirements

  • Radiologic Technologist [State License] - required
  • Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • Radiologic Technologist experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to guide, teach, and motivate others.
  • Good business acumen skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree Radiography preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist management with operational oversight, quality improvement, operational flow, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices.
  • Assist in providing guidance to staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and is a resource to staff.
  • Oversees the coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements.
  • Assures high-quality radiographs are submitted by technologists to ensure optimal diagnostic information is available to radiologists for accurate and complete patient diagnosis.
  • Demonstrates positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary personal patient contact while executing radiology clinical duties.
  • Acts as a liaison between clinical staff, managers, and Radiologists.
  • Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
