About The Position

Supervises, organizes and coordinates the overall operation of the team, including staffing and work assignments. Directs, implements and updates policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen radiation protection/safety measures. Ensures the timely delivery of accurate radiation treatments and oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of all radiation therapy equipment. Serves as the liaison between department and staff, physicians, patients, family and other hospital staff. Routinely performs all duties of a lower level staff, as needed. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • RHTT-Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch OR RHA-Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 8 years of recent relevant experience.
