About The Position

Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of the Radiation Oncology team while maintaining an active clinical role in patient care. Balances direct patient care responsibilities with administrative and operational duties to support the effective delivery of radiation therapy services. Responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, efficiency, and consistency of radiation oncology operations. Promotes continuity of care and treatment delivery across all scheduled service hours. Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, goals, and regulatory compliance standards. Supports staffing coordination, quality and performance improvement initiatives, equipment and facility planning, operational workflows, and budget management activities to ensure the successful operation of the Radiation Oncology program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • On the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T).
  • Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
  • Knowledge of current IDPH regulation.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to work under pressure due to fluctuating workloads and deadlines.
  • High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally.
  • Must work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Strong computer knowledge.
  • Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description.
  • Must be competent in all assigned areas.
  • Must demonstrate collaborative and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
  • New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
