Acts as a subject matter expert to support the organization with initial compliance and ongoing preparation, testing, and monitoring of conformance to established quality systems processes and standards for manufacturing and production. This is a seasoned, experienced professional role with a full understanding of quality systems, responsible for resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways. The role involves high-level evaluation of internal controls, communications, risk assessments, and documentation maintenance related to compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The specialist will train other staff members, act as a back-up for the manager, identify and remedy risks and deficiencies in collaboration with internal departments, and facilitate internal training on quality assurance requirements. Audits and risk assessments may also be performed. The role requires working on problems of diverse scope, demonstrating good judgment, and networking with senior personnel. The individual will receive little day-to-day instruction and general instructions on new assignments, acting as a back-up subject matter expert and providing assistance to lower-level staff. Issues will be escalated to supervisors as necessary, and mentoring of other staff is expected. Compliance with the Code of Business Conduct, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations is mandatory. The role also involves assisting with various projects as assigned by a supervisor, with potential for additional responsibilities focused on specific departments or locations.
