ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as a strategic clinical leader supporting our Emergency Medicine Service Line. In this highly visible role, you will advance professional nursing practice, champion patient safety, drive quality improvement initiatives, and lead accreditation and regulatory readiness efforts across emergency and trauma services. This position will focus on Wilmington and Union Hospital Emergency Department locations. As a trusted clinical expert and influential leader, you will lead quality, patient safety, and regulatory initiatives across the Emergency Medicine Service Line. You will partner with physician, nursing, pharmacy, and operational leaders to improve patient outcomes and elevate the care experience. You will drive accreditation readiness and compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal standards. You will lead patient safety reviews, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), CANDOR processes, and risk reduction strategies. You will analyze and interpret quality, safety, patient experience, and clinical outcome data to identify opportunities and guide strategic improvements. You will develop and implement evidence-based programs, staff education, and change management initiatives that enhance clinical competency and best practices. You will champion a culture of high reliability, continuous improvement, and professional excellence. You will lead research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement projects that advance innovation and measurable outcomes. You will represent Emergency Medicine on organizational and system committees, translating strategic priorities into operational practice. You will mentor and support caregivers while modeling professional nursing excellence and patient- and family-centered care. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future of emergency care across ChristianaCare. You will have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, quality performance, patient safety, and regulatory excellence across emergency medicine, trauma, observation, EMS, and associated care settings. Working collaboratively with executive, physician, and nursing leaders, you'll help ensure our patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible.
