About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Lead Quality Lab Technician – 2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm) to join their CMP Pads team in Aurora, IL. This role is responsible for the analytical inspection and testing of incoming materials, intermediates, experimental, and final products. The technician will provide daily assignments for Quality Lab Technicians and support the supervisor in achieving quality lab and site goals. This is an opportunity to be part of a focused and talented team supporting the growing CMP Pads business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
  • 3 + years experience working in a quality lab, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Statistical software (JMP, Minitab) experience
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to train and communicate well with others, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires manual lifting of up to 40 lbs. when needed, regularly to stand, kneel, or crouch, sit, walk and on occasion climb or balance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and model a safe and clean work environment, and contribute to EHS and plant initiatives
  • Understand and adhere to Entegris values, procedures, and policies
  • Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on product for production, development, R&D, materials engineering, and on customer return samples
  • Enter data into Laboratory Information Management System; recognize and address deviations or non-conformances in products, instruments, and quality standards
  • Verify and/or calibrate all test equipment by manufacturing recommendations and test methods to ensure data integrity and adherence to ISO9001 standard
  • Lead daily shift meetings to update progress toward metrics; responsible for providing information, prioritization and daily work assignments for Quality Lab Technicians
  • Assist supervisor in facilitating lab and site equipment calibration program and maintaining lab supply inventory
  • Provide training to others on quality lab testing and procedures and provide performance feedback to supervisor as needed
  • Participate in planning, execution, and data review for the Measurement System Analysis program for the site
  • Analyze data or trends and prepare reports for communication to internal stakeholders
  • Create Certificates of Analysis for product shipping to customer
  • Participate in the maintenance of current lab work instructions and assist in the development of new methods and instructions for the quality lab team
  • Identify and support continuous improvement projects under guidance from lab supervisor
  • Troubleshoot lab equipment of varying complexity, including working with vendors as needed
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to promote a safe, positive, and productive working environment
