Lead Quality Assurance
About The Position
We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance professional to join our team. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated testing, to ensure software quality. You will be responsible for logging, tracking, and managing defects through resolution, ensuring thorough retesting and issue resolution. The position also includes conducting performance, load, stress, and security tests to ensure application reliability, scalability, and compliance. You will work closely with development teams to review and understand software requirements, ensuring clear, complete, and testable specifications. A key part of this role is developing automated test scripts and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality assurance processes. You will ensure the quality and performance of new and existing applications and interfaces by systematically validating and verifying software functionality, performance, and security through comprehensive testing methodologies. As a lead, you will lead significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions, mentor less experienced staff, implement long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborate with senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
- Utilizing Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Cucumber, Soap, and Rest Assured
- Utilizing JIRA, Splunk, Oracle and SQL Server
- Utilizing Unix and Windows
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases, including manual and automated testing, to ensure software quality.
- Log, track, and manage defects through resolution, ensuring thorough retesting and issue resolution.
- Conduct performance, load, stress, and security tests to ensure application reliability, scalability, and compliance.
- Work closely with development teams to review and understand software requirements, ensuring clear, complete, and testable specifications.
- Develop automated test scripts and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality assurance processes.
