About The Position

The Lead Quality Assurance will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases, including manual and automated testing, to ensure software quality. This role involves logging, tracking, and managing defects through resolution, ensuring thorough retesting and issue resolution. The position also requires conducting performance, load, stress, and security tests to ensure application reliability, scalability, and compliance. The Lead QA will work closely with development teams to review and understand software requirements, ensuring clear, complete, and testable specifications. Additionally, the role involves developing automated test scripts and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality assurance processes. The Lead QA will ensure the quality and performance of new and existing applications and interfaces by systematically validating and verifying software functionality, performance, and security through comprehensive testing methodologies. This role involves leading significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions, mentoring less experienced staff, implementing long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborating with senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Cucumber, Soap, and Rest Assured
  • Utilizing JIRA, Splunk, Oracle and SQL Server
  • Utilizing Unix and Windows

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases, including manual and automated testing, to ensure software quality.
  • Log, track, and manage defects through resolution, ensuring thorough retesting and issue resolution.

  • Work closely with development teams to review and understand software requirements, ensuring clear, complete, and testable specifications.
  • Develop automated test scripts and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality assurance processes.
