About The Position

Leads and directs the inspection team, applying advanced knowledge of Click Bond Inc. parts to develop protocols and standards for Quality Assurance Inspection personnel. Inspects internally manufactured or procured products and materials to verify compliance with engineering drawings and procedures. Serves as the primary contact for issues identified by the inspection team. Performs process audits to ensure compliance with documented procedures and coordinates training for inspectors.

Requirements

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Understanding of statistical process control as relates to manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Computer navigation skills.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MAX/MRP inventory software and manufacturing software.
• Minimum high school diploma required.
• Minimum 7 years related quality assurance experience and training required or equivalent experience.
• ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) required or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or related position preferred.
• Associate Degree preferred
• ASQ CQT (Certified Quality Technician) and CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate), CQPA (Certified Quality Process Analysist), and Six Sigma Greenbelt highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce reports of inspection acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computer entries.
• Provide inspection support as necessary.
• Coordinate the inspection schedule, priorities, and staff assignments.
• Compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities to the inspection team.
• Serve as a Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate problems to the area of occurrence and help facilitate and document Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
• Stamp mark of approval for procured product, internally produced product, or appropriate shipping documentation.
• Review data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
• Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
• Stay active and alert to all processes throughout the production day.
• Assure that inspection personnel are following controlled QEMS (Quality and Environmental Management Systems) procedures by performing process audits.
• Use inspection devices (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, vision systems, CMM) to determine product compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders, and associated aerospace specifications.
• Assist with documentation of the inspection process.
• Complete projects as directed by Supervisor or management.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the QEMS.
• Make entries in the Click Bond MRP computer system.
