About The Position

The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst position is responsible for coordinating the functional testing efforts of the QA Analysts and Senior QA Analysts in the Contexture Application Development agile sprint teams while also maintains an active role in project testing efforts across sprint teams. This position is responsible for providing guidance to the QA team members on technical aspects of projects, testing processes and best practices, data prep, and tools utilization. The position will engage across agile teams to help provide understanding of project features, technical design, and aid in the scope and definition of manual and automated tests for delivering quality software efficiently. The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst will provide assistance to the Director of Quality Assurance as necessary, to plan and implement strategic direction for Quality Assurance initiatives regarding Application Development testing and validation efforts. As a member of an Agile team works directly with other agile teams and cross functional roles to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement manual and automated testing solutions to deliver quality software with efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Experience in defining quality standards and identifying meaningful performance metrics.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement frameworks and their use in process improvement.
  • Expert written skills, and proven experience in creating clear process and guidance documents.
  • Technical testing experience with SQL, Mongo, APIs, web services, and transaction integration engines.
  • Experience with HL7 messaging standard, XML, JSON, REST.
  • Experience with Postman and Swagger.
  • Expert analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and data analytics systems.
  • Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience desired.
  • Proficiency in clinical workflow, ideally across healthcare providers and systems.
  • Expert problem solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Proven aptitude for seeking creative solutions to multifaceted problems.
  • Self-motivated, works tasks independently, and collaborates within the Agile team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment working on simultaneous projects.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant QA technical experience with 2 of those years involving the leading technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline required.

  • Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience desired.
  • Proficiency in clinical workflow, ideally across healthcare providers and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the overall QA process, including the creation, executions and review of test plans, test cases, test cycles, data prep, and test summary reports.
  • Lead and mentor QA staff at all levels.
  • Identify opportunities and provide feedback to the Director of Quality Assurance regarding training opportunities or team/process performance concerns.
  • Review project status and documentation and guide teams through the SDLC from initial stages through production deployment.
  • Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of all Contexture products and services, particularly those built in-house.
  • Support production-related issues and defects, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner and test plans and data and documentation are updated.
  • Act as the QA point of contact for Go/No-Go decisions, CAB meetings, project kickoffs, and design sessions.
  • Continuously improve testing approaches by evaluating and new tools, procedures, frameworks, and strategies making recommendations to leadership on these opportunities.
  • Implement, stabilize, and maintain the automated testing suite.
  • Create and maintain test data sets across test environments occasionally requiring partnership with third-party vendors across test environments.
  • Provide regular status reports to management, including visibility into workload shifts and resource allocation.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to refine project goals, track progress throughout the project lifecycle, and support QA Team members in delivery of solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Maintains an active role in project testing efforts across sprint teams.
  • Occasionally required to be available for after-hours work, outside of normally scheduled hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
