About The Position

The QA Team Lead will perform and understand pre and post-shift activities, respond to QA inspection calls, and assist the supervisor in delegating tasks and ensuring timely instructions for production changes. This role ensures standardized work is followed, that employees have the necessary equipment and supplies, and provides day-to-day mentoring. The employee will also be expected to cover on-the-line positions for absent employees and train/cross-train other employees. Coordination with QA Supervisors is essential to ensure techs understand specs for daily production.

Requirements

Must demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBS
Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervision
Must be able to motivate, train, and teach employees their job to JBS standards
Must have knowledge of all jobs on designated line or have the ability to learn them
Must be confident in coaching and counseling employees about qualification issues (not discipline)
Proficiency in the jobs on the line
Strong record of safety
Attendance will be examined, less than 3 points preferred
Good Communication Skills
Track record of positive Work Performance
Constant walking and or standing
Use of hands to fingers
Feel objects
Reach with hands and arms
Lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Support the supervisor on process of pre and post-shift activities
Respond to Q.A. inspection calls
Respond/assist supervisor in delegating tasks and insuring timely instructions for production changes
Ensure standardized work is followed
Ensure that employees have all the right equipment and supplies to do their jobs
Day-to-day mentoring of employees
Fulfill other tasks assigned by management such as covering on the line for employees who are absent
Train and cross-train QA techs
Coordinate with QA Supervisors to make sure techs understand specs for daily production
Train and cross train employees on their jobs to JBS standards
Work with line supervisors to make placement decisions and help with make sheet
Coach and counsel employees about qualification issues
