About The Position

The POC Team Lead position plays a vital role in the execution of RPG’s mission to “Keep Local Patients Local.” Rural Physicians Group (RPG) is the leading provider in rural healthcare services and we’re looking for a driven Lead Provider Operations Coordinator to help drive our team’s success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an operational role with proven ability to meet and exceed standards of work as well as difficult timelines.
  • 3+ years of vested experience with Rural Physicians Group within Provider Operations.
  • Able to handle moderately complex issues and problems
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and onboard team members to elevate overall team capability and performance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for complex or escalated issues
  • Anticipate challenges and propose proactive solutions
  • Maintaining all POC duties for a region of 12 plus programs.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring adherence to service-level expectations and quarterly metrics.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to encourage professional growth and accountability.
  • Act as the initial escalation point for complex provider or scheduling issues.
  • Oversee the execution of provider onboarding and orientation across multiple programs and facilities.
  • Ensure consistent and standardized communication with providers across the team.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with providers to assess satisfaction, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Oversee creation, distribution, and updates of provider schedules to ensure 24/7/365 hospital coverage.
  • Ensure the accuracy and optimization of the Provider Self-Scheduling Portal and other scheduling systems to include the migration of the cell application.
  • Minimize additional compensation due to scheduling gaps or errors and report metrics to leadership.
  • Work closely with Director of Physician Relations, Regional Medical Directors, Program Directors, and Hospital Leadership to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure provider-facing processes are aligned with company policies and goals.
  • Represent the Provider Operations team in cross-departmental meetings and initiatives in the absence of the Director of Physician Relations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline scheduling, onboarding, and provider engagement processes.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend scalable solutions to Director of Physician Relations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of shift changes for payroll and compliance.
  • Maintain current provider contact data and documentation within the shared database.
  • Assist leadership with special projects or other tasks as assigned.
