About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Lead Project Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure for a Proprietary Program in Hazelwood, MO. This role is execution focused and placed within the Digital Infrastructure Segment (DIS), with a strong emphasis on Cloud Computing. This role provides an opportunity to combine engineering leadership and program execution to influence the next generation of digital capabilities on a proprietary defense program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and hosting applications in the cloud
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira

Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution for DIS work packages that heavily leverage Cloud Engineering capabilities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage cross-functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Define work packages, allocate resources, track progress, and manage subcontractor activities.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and analytics to measure technical and business outcomes.
  • Manage Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and analysis; support risk, issue, and opportunity management.
  • Respond to changes in Statement of Work (SOW), assess impacts, and negotiate modifications to deliverables, costs, and schedules.
  • Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) as assigned.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and the customer.
