About The Position

Responsible for the oversight of outreach, marketing and programming for all SER youth programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three (3) years’ experience in youth workforce development initiatives or six (6) years’ equivalent combination of related experience and/or education
• Experience working with at-risk youth and youth agencies.
• Computer skills necessary to effectively maintain a database and generate reports.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with staff, participants and partner agencies.
• Mental ability to handle pressures related to multiple individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of need.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license. Incumbent must also have reliable means of transportation to travel to various locations outside of the office.

Nice To Haves

• Two to four years of management experience in human services or related field preferred.
• Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement outreach strategies to recruit eligible participants
• Establish working relationships with community partners, school personnel and other youth serving organizations.
• Track and report outreach and recruitment efforts towards recruitment goals
• Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of youth on-site and community based programming.
• Assist in conducting initial intake and data collection of potential youth
• Assists in ensuring the program goals and objectives are met as specified by funding sources and the Corporation. Reports to supervisor on program progress and matters of concern.
• Provide supervision and guidance to the Recruitment, Marketing and Program Team members.
• Provides logistical support to the Youth Center Team
• Compiles program statistics and prepares related performance and progress reports for management.
• Provides positive leadership and direction for youth program participants.
• Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
