At AWH Logistics, we believe some of the best leaders in transportation start behind the wheel. We're looking for an experienced Lead Professional Commercial Driver who can do more than run a route. We're looking for someone who can lead people, train drivers, solve problems, and set the standard for the rest of the team. If you're an experienced commercial driver with previous management, supervisory, or team leadership experience, this could be your opportunity to take the next step in your career. This is a leadership and coverage position, so schedule flexibility is required. Lead Drivers cover vacations, call-offs, open routes, training needs, and other operational coverage.

Requirements

Previous management, supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience required
Commercial driving experience
Strong communication and coaching skills
Excellent safety mindset
Dependability and flexibility
Someone who takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
Someone other drivers naturally look to for help and direction

Responsibilities

Train and mentor new professional commercial drivers
Lead by example with safety, professionalism, and customer service
Become the subject matter expert on routes, deliveries, and customer requirements
Assist Transportation Managers with coaching and driver development
Cover vacations, call-offs, and open routes
Help solve operational issues and keep freight moving
Hold yourself and others to AWH's standards
