About The Position

As a Lead Production Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Based in Vandalia, OH, you will support quality assurance and quality control activities that enable the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant aerospace products. This role has meaningful autonomy within established functional practices and procedures. You will use your technical knowledge, prior experience, and sound judgment to resolve manufacturing quality issues, improve processes, and partner across teams to support operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in a relevant job family group or function.
  • Experience in manufacturing and production quality, including quality assurance and/or quality control activities.
  • Ability to apply technical and analytical thinking to resolve manufacturing quality issues.
  • Ability to work effectively within established quality systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and drive issue resolution.
  • Experience with product inspection, incoming goods control, manufacturing conformance, and process quality.

Responsibilities

  • Own quality assurance and quality control activities associated with manufacturing processes, products, and services.
  • Ensure conformance through manufacturing process reviews, incoming goods control, product inspection, and witness-point activities.
  • Apply technical expertise and knowledge of manufacturing quality practices to execute quality policies, strategies, and procedures.
  • Analyze straightforward quality and production issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions with guidance as needed.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support departmental objectives.
  • Use knowledge of business and operational drivers to prioritize work and understand the impact of quality activities across the broader organization.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
  • Stay informed of relevant industry trends and apply insights that support the broader quality function.
  • Provide informal guidance, coaching, and support to new team members.
