Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge/experience of extruders, recycling procedures and profiles or resins and their properties
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Availability to work swing shift (3PM-11PM Mon-Friday)
  • Good communication skills
  • Quality focused
  • Strong mathematical & mechanical aptitude
  • Positive attitude & good work ethic
  • Must be able to work in team environment
  • Previous manufacturing experience required
  • Excellent safety record and mindset
  • Must know how to operate each line within the plant and perform all duties as a packer
  • Must have good attendance and safety record
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to pass pre-hire screenings

Responsibilities

  • Ensure training is uniform and consistent
  • Evaluate employees progress and sign off on training checklist
  • Train all new operators on the lines within the plant
  • Follow all safety and GMP practices of Amcor
  • Understand how all lines within the plant operate and be able to train effectively for each line
  • Responsible for interpretation of and adherence to production work orders
  • Responsible for assuring order set-ups, product quality checks and equipment set-ups are done in line
  • Troubleshooting production line equipment
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment
  • Reports any process and equipment problems
  • Follows AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) per written procedures and practices
  • Capable of using JDE to enter production, print labels, close out orders
  • Completes at least one Work Place Observation and One Near Miss per month
  • Updates line boards daily
  • Assists in training, upgrading, evaluating and reviewing shift personnel
  • Organizes work for smooth operations
  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping on assigned lines
  • Maintenance of company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring scrap goals on assigned lines are met
  • Relieve Packers for breaks
