This is a 12 hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, 7:00p-7:00a with a 15% shift differential.

Requirements

  • Able to utilize math to perform basic weights for formulas.
  • Able to read and interpret directions and order details.
  • Able to communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in all of the plant equipment or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ Years Plant experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand 80% - 85% of the day.
  • Must be able to sit 5% of the day.
  • Must be able to twist/bend 20% of the day.
  • Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 10% of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide backup to production staff of preparing materials needed for order.
  • Operate and maintain 5 to 8 pieces of equipment to ensure fulfillment of duties, including reviewing orders, using RF Gun to locate and pick materials, weighing materials, and inputting information into machines.
  • Startup machinery, review production schedule, load bags into machine, and work with batcher to determine when to run the machine.
  • Ensure safety protocols are always followed.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and maintenance of worksite, including sweeping, vacuuming, removing packing materials/debris, and equipment cleaning.
  • Prepare materials for the next shift to ensure a smooth transition and handoff with minimal downtime.
  • Provide a shift summary report that includes productivity, downtime, and quality concerns.
  • Ensure the team is utilizing raw materials that are not expired and follow correct formulas.
  • Collect samples for the QC team and adjust batches as needed based on results.
  • Ensure the final product is meeting quality specifications.
  • Escalate maintenance needs, shortages, failures, or required repairs for equipment and materials.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure maximum productivity of the team.
  • Train new team members on equipment and areas in the plant.
  • Assist supervisor with workload balancing and provide direction to the team.
  • Act as supervisor for shifts without one, providing floor-level escalation for team questions.
  • Promptly address performance concerns, working with Human Resources as needed to document and correct issues.
  • Ensure the team is up to date with all required trainings, including compliance and safety.
  • Input work order closing.
  • Perform physical inventory and update the system.
  • Update work orders based on inventory availability.
