Bakkt (NYSE: BKKT), a regulated US FinTech company, is launching a next-generation exchange platform. We are seeking a visionary Lead Product Manager to spearhead the strategy and execution of our core market infrastructure.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a small, but highly competent team of product managers, guiding them to build a high performing platform within a highly secure and regulated environment. You will be a player-coach: driving high-level strategy for the "finternet" while mentoring an elite team of PMs to deliver mission-critical financial products.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management within FinTech, Crypto, or High-Frequency Trading.
• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing and developing high-potential product managers.
• Industry Disruptor Mindset: A genuine passion for upending the traditional financial services product space and building the future of the "finternet."
• Technical Depth: A strong foundation in scalable system design; you should be comfortable discussing microservices, API standards, and event-driven architecture with senior engineers.
• Execution Focus: Experience operating in a secure, regulated environment (e.g., SEC/FINRA oversight or similar global standards).
• AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) as part of the product development workflow.
• Excellent Communication: The ability to distill complex technical hurdles into clear, actionable strategies for both your team and company leadership.

• Background in quantitative trading systems, risk engines, or market infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a small, high-performing team of Product Managers. Drive a culture of excellence, intellectual curiosity, and rigorous execution.
• Core Product Ownership: Own the roadmap for the core exchange platform, focusing on the development and scaling of trading, staking, and lending products.
• Strategic Execution: Guide the technology team to define technical specs, estimate timelines, and ensure the delivery of resilient, cloud-native services.
• AI-Enhanced Workflow: Champion the use of AI tooling (LLM-assisted documentation, data analysis, and automated workflows) to increase team velocity and product quality—AI-assisted product management is required.
• Regulatory Alignment: Navigate the complexities of US financial regulations, ensuring all exchange features—specifically across yield and credit products—meet the highest standards of compliance and institutional security.
• Stakeholder Influence: Act as a key bridge between Technology, Compliance, Sales, and the Executive team to align the product vision with market needs.
