We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to own and advance the strategy, commercial performance, and ecosystem integration for third-party controls and IAQ products across the Lennox portfolio. This role ensures we offer the right externally sourced products, at the right price, in the right channels and that these products work cohesively with Lennox solutions and unlock value for our dealers and end-customers. The ideal candidate blends portfolio strategy, vendor partnership leadership, and system-level thinking, effectively bridging hardware commercial decisions with our growing digital ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management, category management, or portfolio strategy experience in HVAC, connected devices, or consumer electronics.
  • Strong understanding of controls, air quality products, and connected home ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to drive commercial strategy, including pricing, margin optimization, and portfolio positioning.
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships with OEMs, technology companies, or third-party vendors.
  • Technical fluency in connected systems, APIs, and how devices integrate into broader software ecosystems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead the 3rd Party Controls & IAQ Portfolio
  • Own the overall product strategy and lifecycle for third-party products sold through Lennox stores and other channels.
  • Determine which SKUs to offer, at what price, and with what margin structure to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Define and Execute Offering Strategy
  • Develop an offering framework that aligns third-party products with Lennox systems and homeowner needs, ensuring differentiation and attach opportunities across tiers (Good-Better-Best).
  • Drive Partnership and API Integrations
  • Collaborate with key partners to expand the value proposition of their products within the Lennox ecosystem, including integration into the Lennox Service Dashboard, Dealer Tools, and Homeowner Apps.
  • Portfolio Profitability & Performance Management
  • Establish and track KPIs such as revenue, margin, and attach rate.
  • Analyze category performance and lead initiatives to improve contribution margins and mix optimization.
  • Channel Strategy & Collaboration
  • Partner with the Lennox Store and Regional Sales teams to ensure the right products are stocked, priced, and promoted effectively to drive growth and dealer adoption.
  • Develop and Execute Growth Playbook
  • Create and implement strategies that drive revenue and market share for third-party products, leveraging marketing programs, training, incentives, and channel activation.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Pricing, Sales, Planning, and the Digital Team to ensure portfolio decisions align with overall business objectives and roadmap priorities.
  • Portfolio Segmentation & Lifecycle Management
  • Visualize and manage the product mix; identifying gaps, growth opportunities, and end-of-life candidates.
  • Recommend entry/exit strategies for underperforming SKUs.
  • Voice of the Dealer & Customer Insight
  • Collect and synthesize insights from dealers, sales teams, and end-users to shape future portfolio and integration strategies.
