About The Position

NIKE, Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Engineer in Beaverton, OR. This role involves collaborating with key functional partners throughout the product development process and serving as the primary point of contact for Asia teammates to ensure clear and accurate communication during product development and manufacturing. The Lead Product Engineer will drive footwear product excellence in alignment with Nike Footwear strategic priorities, focusing on fit, comfort, performance, and sustainability. This includes collaborating with offshore and onshore teams to provide input on design constructions, standard product engineering processes, material choices, costing optimization, and construction. The role requires leveraging divisional, functional, and technical expertise to influence product and process from development to manufacturing. Additionally, the position supports the engineering digital product creation strategy by applying tools such as FEA, 3D visualization, rapid prototyping, advanced mechanical testing, and wear testing methods in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Lead Product Engineer will navigate the NIKE matrix to ensure Nike’s processes align with Nike footwear engineering divisional and functional standards and methodologies, ultimately driving product excellence. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.

  • Read & interpret technical footwear drawings, sketches and 3D digital files

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key functional partners throughout the product development process.
