About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute delivers bare-metal and virtual machine instances, including CPU and GPU instances, at global scale. Oracle is hiring a hands-on Consulting Member of Technical Staff to provide technical leadership for OCI Compute control-plane services, particularly Imaging and Container Registry. The role architects and delivers multi-tenant, highly available, horizontally scalable distributed systems across OCI regions while driving operational excellence and cross-team technical alignment. The engineer will help build fault-tolerant systems that underpin next-generation Compute offerings, define the technical roadmap for OCI Imaging and Container Registry Services, and partner with product management and field teams to translate customer needs into roadmap priorities. The role also contributes to the broader Compute vision and influences how these services evolve to support mission-critical workloads globally. The position includes full service-lifecycle ownership, from design and implementation through deployment, on-call, and continuous improvement. The engineer will establish service-level objectives, improve reliability through automation, observability, and self-healing, and mentor engineers while setting technical standards across teams. Oracle seeks a technically broad leader who can solve cloud-scale problems, lead projects across organizational boundaries, communicate effectively, and represent work to senior leaders.
