About The Position

C.P. Eakes Company is hiring a Lead Press Brake to head up its Press Brake Operations. The company manufactures custom metal products and provides laser cutting, stainless steel trench drain, and ornamental cladding solutions. The role involves setting up and operating press brake and hydraulic shear equipment, interpreting blueprints, inspecting finished products, and promoting safe work practices in compliance with company safety programs and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience in metal fabrication and press brake operations.
• In-depth understanding of press brake components and machinery operation.
• Computer skills to operate CNC software.
• Ability to perform precision measurements and calculate settings.
• Familiarity with blueprints and technical specification sheet terminology.
• Demonstrate the company's Core Values and Principles to employees and customers.
• Ability to stand and operate machinery for long periods.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and/or step up regularly.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead Press Brake Operations.
• Set computer-controlled press brake equipment to project specifications.
• Set up and operate hydraulic shear to cut sheet metal to precise specifications.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints to properly set equipment.
• Measure and inspect finished sheet metal to ensure it matches specifications.
• Help ensure the team's safe work performance and compliance with company safety programs and OSHA standards.
