About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking an Academic Preschool Lead Teacher to join the UDA Creative Arts Preschool. Our program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports children’s academic, social, and emotional development during their early learning years. The Preschool runs Monday-Friday, 8:30-12:30. Teachers must teach at minimum 2-3 days per week. There is opportunity for additional hours as an office assistant. UDA Creative Arts Preschool in Draper believes in developing the whole child, offering an individualized approach to education, carefully balancing between teacher and child-directed discovery. We believe that a quality preschool education is a crucial foundation for your child’s educational future, and we aim to provide the tools your child will need not only for kindergarten readiness, but for a lifetime love of learning. Our curriculum encompasses Utah’s Early Childhood State Standards and ensures kindergarten readiness.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching preschool-aged children in a lead teacher role
  • Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
  • Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Provide reliable transportation and pass a routine background check

Nice To Haves

  • Early childhood education degree and relevant teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily academic and enrichment activities that support early childhood development
  • Lead classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management with confidence and consistency
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
  • Support children’s social-emotional growth and positive behavior development
  • Supervise and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Prepare lesson plans, classroom materials, and maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school expectations
  • Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements
  • Provide reliable transportation and pass a routine background check
