About The Position

The Goddard School in Macedonia is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and passionate individual to join their team as an early educational leader. This full-time position (40 hours/week) involves being a co-lead teacher in a classroom for children aged 2-3 years in a preschool setting. The school is committed to providing a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment that fosters professional growth. Teachers are responsible for coordinating daily class operations, planning, presenting, and evaluating educational and recreational activities, and working directly with children and parents to provide quality customer service. The role offers a sense of accomplishment through children's engagement, opportunities to develop creative curriculum based on children's interests, daily communication with parents, and professional growth through engagement with other childcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Early Childhood Education (or a child-related degree)
  • Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching credential
  • Currently enrolled in a CDA or degreed program
  • Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a child-related degree) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes.
  • Planning, presenting, and evaluating educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
  • Working directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
  • Observing children's interests and working with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum.
  • Communicating with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Engaging with other child care professionals and continuing to grow in the profession.
