Lead Preschool Teacher
About The Position
The Goddard School of Royersford is seeking a Lead Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and ready to create meaningful learning experiences for children. The school provides a warm, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through its Wonder of Learning® curriculum, the school combines purposeful play with meaningful educational experiences that prepare children for success in school and beyond. The role involves creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment, implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, building strong relationships with children and families, observing and documenting children's growth, guiding social-emotional development, maintaining a healthy and safe classroom, and collaborating with colleagues.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Must meet Pennsylvania state licensing requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required for child care duties.
Nice To Haves
- CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred.
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences using our Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with children and their families.
- Observe and document children's growth and development.
- Guide children's social-emotional development using positive behavior strategies.
- Maintain a healthy and safe classroom while following all licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to create the best possible experience for every child.
