About The Position

BMH-BJ Preschool is a play-based school looking for lead teachers. We are looking for a preschool teacher that has a great love and patience for children. We are looking for infant/toddler teachers as well as preschool age. We would like someone who is warm, vibrant, flexible, a team player and wants to be a part of our community. The preschool teacher should be able to develop a program that provides a safe, positive learning environment for some of our youngest learners. Infant/ toddler teachers should be creative in the classroom while following health and safety guidelines. We are looking for teachers that can be sensitive to the needs of the families and the needs of the children. This teacher should have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with families. We are looking for energetic teachers for our classrooms with children ages 1- 5 who can: Plan developmentally appropriate curriculum activities in accordance with our program philosophy. Incorporate activities and educate meaningfully about Jewish tradition, culture, values, and Israel. Communicate regularly with families with weekly newsletters. Create an environment for families to be a part of their child's learning. Engage with children in a positive manner. Follow health and safety guidelines. Supervise children at all times. Be able to discuss the development of children with parents. Talk with parents about behavioral ups and downs.

Requirements

  • Have a BS/BA in education or related fields.
  • Have six semester hours in ECE.
  • Knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods.
  • Ability to engage children and earn their trust and attention.
  • Maintain PDIS account
  • Experience working with young children.
  • Background check required.
