About The Position
The Learning Experience – Newark is looking for an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom where children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. As the classroom leader, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, independence, and confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment for every child.
Requirements
- Delaware TECE I and TECE II credentials required
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous preschool teaching or classroom leadership experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead a preschool classroom and provide daily instruction using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Promote early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning
- Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Mentor Assistant Teachers and promote collaboration within the classroom
- Observe children's progress and communicate regularly with families
- Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing regulations and center policies
- Partner with center leadership to maintain the highest standards of educational quality
