About The Position

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our preschool classroom. We're looking for an educator who is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences while helping children develop the confidence, curiosity, and foundational skills they'll carry into kindergarten and beyond. As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll mentor your classroom team, build strong partnerships with families, and create a positive environment where every child feels supported and excited to learn.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience
Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading a preschool classroom preferred
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent leadership, classroom management, and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

Lead a preschool classroom using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support kindergarten readiness
Foster children's literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development through hands-on learning
Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom where children can thrive
Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and classroom consistency
Observe children's developmental progress and communicate regularly with families
Maintain compliance with all New York State and New York City licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Collaborate with center leadership to uphold the highest standards of educational excellence
