About The Position

The Growing Years of Clayton is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the Preschool and Pre-K age groups. This role involves preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, maintaining organized classrooms, and establishing positive relationships with families. The position requires a commitment to providing quality care and fostering child development within a supportive and professional environment.

Requirements

High school diploma
Ability to pass all background checks
Associate or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a relevant field or a completed associate or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
