About The Position

Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Lead Preschool Teacher to provide a nurturing, structured, and Christ-centered learning environment for young children. This role is responsible for leading the preschool classroom, supporting early childhood development, and fostering spiritual, academic, and social growth in alignment with the mission and values of the Catholic Church.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
  • Valid teaching certification (as required by state or Archdiocese)
  • Prior preschool or early childhood teaching experience preferred
  • Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the mission of Catholic education
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with support staff
  • Commitment to creating a faith-filled, student-centered learning environment
  • Must meet all Archdiocesan and Safe Environment requirements
  • All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre-employment screening. The screening will include criminal background check, Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, employment and educational licensure/certification verification, health screening, and any other screenings deemed necessary for employment. Any offer would be contingent upon successful completion of any required screening.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for preschool students
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
  • Provide leadership and guidance to classroom aides or assistant teachers
  • Monitor student progress and development, maintaining accurate records
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student growth, behavior, and classroom updates
  • Maintain classroom organization, materials, and learning spaces
  • Ensure compliance with all school policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures
  • Foster social, emotional, and behavioral development in young learners
  • Collaborate with school administration and staff to support overall program success
