About The Position

The KID Preschool Plus program is seeking a passionate and motivated Lead Preschool Teacher for their infants' classroom. This position is responsible for the day-to-day classroom activities in the KID Preschool PLUS (KPP) where teachers must establish and maintain a classroom environment that is safe and nurturing to facilitate both learning and healing. The school uses the Creative Curriculum as a base for learning and planning, believing that children should have hands-on, fun experiences to enrich their love of learning.

Requirements

Must possess at minimum a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have 1-3 years' experience working in an infant classroom in a childcare facility with a passion for working with babies 6 weeks to 12 months old.
Must have a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent.
Must have the 45 hours DCF Childcare Licensing training (Part 1, Part 2, and Early Literacy for Children Age Birth Through Three) and must have passed the exams.
Advanced training in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and/or Child Development.
Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
