About The Position

The Goddard School of Fairfield is seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Pre-K Teacher to join our award-winning team. Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred or current CDA
  • Previous experience teaching Pre-K-aged children required
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for early childhood education and child-centered learning
  • Experience working with Pre-K-aged children
  • Understands how to prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten
  • Creates engaging, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and wonder
  • Builds strong partnerships with families through consistent and meaningful communication
  • Maintains a positive, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
  • Collaborates effectively with co-teachers, specialists, and school leadership
  • Believes learning should be fun, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons using Goddard's Wonder of Learning® curriculum
  • Foster kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, science, social-emotional learning, and problem-solving experiences
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning
  • Document children's growth and learning through observations and portfolios
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities, milestones, and student progress
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership team members to ensure a high-quality educational experience
