About The Position

Experienced Lead Pre-K Teacher Cobb Children’s Learning Center – Roseburg, Oregon Full-Time, Salaried Position Are you an experienced early childhood educator who is ready to lead a classroom, bring ideas to life, and make a meaningful impact during one of the most important stages of a child’s development? Cobb Children’s Learning Center is looking for a confident, dependable, and experienced Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team. For more than 30 years, Cobb Children’s Learning Center has served children and families in the Roseburg community. We are looking for someone who brings experience, strong classroom leadership, and a genuine passion for helping young children grow. This is a full-time, salaried position for an experienced educator who is ready to take ownership of a Pre-K classroom and be part of an established early childhood team.

Requirements

  • Experience in early childhood education and classroom leadership.
  • Experience working with preschool or Pre-K children.
  • Confident leading a classroom.
  • Understands child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
  • Strong classroom-management and positive-guidance skills.
  • Dependable, organized, patient, and professional.
  • Communicates well with families and coworkers.
  • Comfortable guiding and working alongside assistant teachers.
  • Takes pride in creating an engaging and well-run classroom.
  • Wants to be part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Passionate about preparing children for kindergarten and their next stage of learning.
  • Open to collaboration, growth, and new ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Pre-K classroom and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
  • Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and early academic development.
  • Use positive guidance and strong classroom-management skills.
  • Observe children’s progress and support their individual strengths and needs.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Work closely with assistant teachers and provide classroom leadership.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
  • Help create consistency, routine, and a classroom culture where children feel confident and excited to learn.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the Cobb team.
