  • Ability to measure and improve developer productivity, deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and MTTR
  • Experience building self-service developer platforms or paved-road/golden path delivery workflows and experiences
  • Strong judgment around standardization versus team autonomy

Responsibilities

  • Bring deep hands-on expertise in GitLab/GitHub/GitHub Actions—including branch protection, PR workflows, required checks, runners, reusable/composite workflows, release automation, and governance—to standardize how teams build, test, and release.
  • Create reusable pipeline templates and workflow standards, integrate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and declarative YAML configuration, and enable secure, reliable deployments across dev/test/staging/prod plus ephemeral preview environments.
  • Embed security, quality, and compliance into the platform by design through secrets management, least-privilege access, audit logging, and supply-chain protections such as SBOMs, artifact signing, and provenance.
  • Implement and automate security scanning and policy-as-code, partnering closely with security teams, while connecting delivery events to operational and planning tools (e.g., Slack notifications/approvals/incident alerts and Jira traceability).
  • Document platform standards and runbooks, troubleshoot and debug pipeline/deployment failures, and translate platform engineering work into measurable business impact through close collaboration with application engineers, SREs, QA, product, and release management.
