Lead Platform Engineer
About The Position
Lead Platform Engineer Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
Responsibilities
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Communicate with technical, third parties, and business resources verbally and through written documentation
- Collaborate with other Tech platforms and partners to engineer an integrated, end-to-end support frameworks across technology layers
- Assimilate information and requirements from a variety of sources into one comprehensive view
- Execute automated testing efforts required to ensure successful implementation of solutions into production.
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions
- Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
- Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools, and a variety of AWS tools and services
