About The Position

Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing rapidly and can be described as young, open and energetic. Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end-users from all over the United States. Our end-users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments. From our 40,000 SF facility in Missouri City, TX, we currently manage the production, sales, marketing, planning, and distribution of 3D printing filament for the North America region. The Lead Maintenance Technician (Electrical) will primarily perform equipment maintenance and facility maintenance activities on an assigned shift. In addition, the Lead Maintenance Technician (Electrical) is also responsible for leading (1) Jr. Technician on night shift; including coordination of work orders, materials, supplies, and tools.

Requirements

  • 8 Hour Shift, 5days/week (alternating schedule)
  • All tools and materials to be provided by employer
  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or refinery facility
  • Willingness to learn and teach others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining plastic extrusion equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems
  • Ability to operate forklifts and/or overhead lifting devices.
  • Multilingual (Mandarin Chinese)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair 480V 3-phase production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and continuously improve maintenance practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
  • Manage and organize maintenance tools, spare parts, and inventory to support reliable operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implements corrective actions.
  • Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support production operations, equipment setup, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all company safety policies and exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
