About The Position

In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

  • Leads field engineering team for Pipe Testing —assigns scope, sets priorities, reviews work products, and coaches field engineers to consistent standards and pace.
  • Primary technical interface for pressure testing—coordinates with engineering, procurement, QC, construction, and commissioning; escalates systemic issues early and clearly.
  • Experience leading pneumatic pressure testing execution
  • Well versed with ASME B31.3 piping code.
  • Extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.
  • Some lifting may be required.

  • Review test boundaries, isometrics, P&IDs, and engineering documentation to confirm system readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements for pre-test verification including line walks, isolation checks, blinds, gauge calibration, and manifold setup.
  • Oversee execution of pneumatic tests, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Onsite SME for pneumatic testing.
  • Mitigate hazards associated with stored energy, pressure containment, and component failure by enforcing strict exclusion zones, barricading, and Life-Critical Rules.
  • Ensure adherence to ITP hold points, documentation sign-off, punch list creation, and post-test restoration verification.
