About The Position

In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Construction experience on LNG projects
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
Construction experience assigned to a construction site in a supervisory position.
Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
Extensive Piping experience

Responsibilities

Performs the duties of a lead engineer in either an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or as a Project Field Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of assigned operating section.
Proactively engages with their teams’ development through CPM, competency development/assessment and feedback.
Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline.
Coordinates with design on constructability issues.
Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting.
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
For Direct Hire: Possesses responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (as required) for area turnover coordination as determined by the PFE.
Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
