Requirements

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Qualified applicants must be willing to obtain a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee license in order to be considered for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

  • Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives
  • Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws
  • Ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team
  • Focusing on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations
