Requirements
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Qualified applicants must be willing to obtain a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee license in order to be considered for employment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- PTCB National Certification
Responsibilities
- Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives
- Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
- Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
- Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws
- Ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team
- Focusing on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations
