Requirements

• Current registration as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) by PTCB or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Strong written and verbal skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Three (3) years of hospital experience preferred.
• Sterile compounding, USP 797, and USP 800 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacy department with a variety of vital functions including maintaining automation, performing quality improvement/data collection, evaluation/maintenance of clean room/compounding areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards and processing of medication orders and or medication requests from a pharmacist.
• Provides organizational and technical support to ensure proper preparation of pharmaceuticals and compliance with established protocol and guidelines for pharmacy operations.
• Primarily functions as a Medication Reconciliation Technician in the Emergency Department by obtaining and verifying accurate medication histories, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with healthcare providers to promote safe and effective patient care.
