About The Position

Under limited supervision, directs and guides the essential job functions of department or shift employees. This position is safety-sensitive due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market. The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, instructing and directing work activities of employees in assigned work area(s), training and directing the activities of production employees, maintaining effective communication of customer needs/requirements and company goals, keeping close track of work in progress and regularly conferring with production and/or management staff, operating controls and monitoring heat treating equipment as needed/required, and practicing and promoting safety and good housekeeping. This role may have access to compensation information of other employees or applicants and cannot disclose pay. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of customer's inventory and will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. Must be able to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience preferably in the heat treating industry.
  • Must be able to read and follow blueprint/specifications.
  • Must have the ability to supervise, direct and motivate employees.
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and effectively communicate the English language.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Responsibilities
