About The Position

Alter Metal Recycling in Davenport, IA is looking for someone to assist in leading the daily operations of our Non-Ferrous Recovery Plant (NFR). This role assists a supervisor and is a step into a leadership role. The hours for this Night Shift position are Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 4:30am (12 hour shifts).

Requirements

Must be capable of learning and performing all job functions of the plant
Must have good communication skills
Must be a positive team player
Background in Non Ferrous, NF, Ferrous, Metals, Shredders, Supervisory, lead, leadership, inventory, manager, operator, equipment, operations, team lead is beneficial

Responsibilities

Support supervision of 10-12 employee staff, and fill in for related supervisor duties during absences
Ensure employee break schedule is followed
Rotate employees during breaks to ensure coverage
Operate mobile equipment and fill in as necessary
Work positions to provide coverage during employee absences
Lead the non-maintenance group during unplanned downtime
Ensure radios are signed out and accounted for
Collect data during weigh outs
Lead the cleaning team during maintenance cleaning hours
