About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Lead Person- Fulfillment to coordinate machine-position training across all shifts and help maintain high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and production. The role supports crews in producing quality products efficiently, maintains safe and positive plant working conditions, and communicates production issues and findings to the appropriate supervisor or manager. The Lead Person may also operate machines when needed on any shift and perform additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• 2–3 years of work experience as a Machine Operator.
• Passion for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and bend.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Corrugated industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and implement training for all machine positions on all shifts.
• Initiate programs to set and maintain high industry standards for quality, efficiency, and production, and communicate those standards to staff.
• Recommend and assist with planning methods, machinery, safety programs, and standards.
• Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant.
• Keep the Production Manager informed about problems or situations that may affect overall plant production operations.
• Be available to operate machines when needed on all shifts.
• Follow production SOPs for safety, quality, and manufacturing processes.
• Assist crews in achieving the highest-quality product through the most efficient process.
• Communicate findings to a supervisor and/or manager.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Starting pay of $22 per hour.
