About The Position

Come join our team! Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday and overtime as needed. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive. Position Summary: Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. · Instructs and directs work activities of employees in assigned work area(s). · Trains and directs the activities of production employees, maintaining effective communication of customer needs/requirements and company goals. · Keeps close track of work in progress and regularly confers with production and/or management staff. · Operates controls and monitors heat treating equipment as needed/required. · Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping. · Performs other tasks as designated by position. · May have access to compensation information of other employees or applicants in this role and as such cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to other individuals. · This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. · Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience preferably in the heat treating industry.
  • Must be able to read and follow blueprint/specifications.
  • Must have the ability to supervise, direct and motivate employees.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and effectively communicate the English language.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
