Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Leadership and decision making skills are required.
6 or more months of experience in sanitation and/or food processing industry.
Ability to take direction and instruction from manager and be accountable for own actions.
Safety awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

Provides directions for the sanitation crew within a certain area of the plant.
Assists in training team members and provides support as requested by the supervisor.
Works cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
Maintains open communications with all team members in the plant.
Meets with the Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
Cleans and sanitizes equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
Ensures team members in assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards.
Inspects equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
Handles chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
Monitors and provides personal protective equipment (PPE).
Performs other duties as assigned.
