About The Position

The Lead person role is to provide direction and support to ensure all tasks and objectives are completed successfully. This position requires knowledge and understanding of all tasks within a department, and the ability to use tools such as a hook, knife, and equipment to safely and properly dress carcasses. The Lead Person will communicate with employees and management to quickly and effectively resolve production issues or concerns. If contamination is present, the employee will use a hook and knife to remove any visible contamination and follow proper sanitation procedures. This description is not intended to be all inclusive; an employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery, or moving surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to attend work consistently.
  • Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, animal welfare and sanitary dress procedures.
  • Able to stand for lengthy periods of time.
  • Display strong work ethic.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
  • Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Previous agriculture production/ beef plant experience.
